Awesome thank you. Everyone my name is Jamie Berg scene. I am the Associate Director of graduate admissions and marketing here at Penn Nursing.
Good morning, Good afternoon, good evening wherever you're listening from thank you for tuning in.
Just want to go over some basics about the actual virtual session. We recommend using a laptop or desktop desktop computer with Chrome or fire. Fox to fully participate. If you're listening with other browsers or on a mobile device. You may not have all the features available.
I'm also unable to troubleshoot during the actual presentation, so if you are having issues your best. Bet is to refresh and try and get back in. I like to ask if you can, please save your questions for the end of the presentation. There will be a Q&A. But it's easier for me to go through at the end and see all of your questions.
A recording of this presentation will be available in a few days so if you do have to leave at any point where you want to go back and review. Some information you will get an email with this information. And if you'd like to enable closed captioning. There is a button on the Top right. It's a little CC when you click on it, it will highlight green and you'll be able to see the transcript in the chat section.

hello and good evening
These are the programs will be discussing today are MSN programs, including our postgraduate a PRN certificates that were previously called post. Masters programs and R2D. NP program's the nursing anesthesia and post. Masters DNP program. This presentation is geared. Twords applicants who are currently nurses or will be nurses by the start of the program you're applying to.

12:07:02 PM
Hi everyone!
If you're not currently a nurse, I'd recommend listening into one of our accelerated webinars or attending an accelerated information session that information is available on our website and I'll talk more about upcoming events towards the end of the presentation.
Will also go over some application requirements and tips and then will finish off with a Q&A.
1st we have our MSN programs on the left. We have our nurse practitioner programs that after graduation. You'll be prepared to sit for the national certification in that area. We also have an advanced specialist program, which is our nurse midwifery program.
I got upon completion, you'll be eligible for 2 national certifications. So it's a dual program. You'll be certified to become a nurse midwife and also a Women's Health nurse practitioner.
We also have 2 administration programs, which are non clinical they focus on areas such as project management healthcare consulting in nursing education.
Um the sing in Healthcare administration program actually is a practicum, which consists of 240 hours spent in an organization doing a large scale project with a nursing leader so somewhat like a thesis.
All the other programs do have a clinical component. I'll talk more about Clinicals and other information. Later on in the program in terms of the curriculum our clinical programs share a core curriculum, which we like to call the 3:00 peas pathophysiology pharmacology and physical assessment. I'm you'll also take theory courses specific to your population.
And clinical components on our website. There are some sample curriculum offered where you can see the different courses that you'd be taking a brief description of each as well as if you were to attend full time or part time? What a sample curriculum can be all of these programs can also be completed as a postgraduate. AP RN certificate for current nurse practitioners or nurse midwives, so that means.
If you are a certified advanced practice nurse in one area for example, you are a pediatric primary care nurse practitioner.
And now you'd like to become a family nurse practitioner, you can apply to the family postgraduate. AP RN Certificate program and we would evaluate your previous curriculum in the pediatric primary care program that you took to evaluate.
Exactly what classes you would need to take as a fan for the family nurse practitioner license.
So, which program is right for me, I get this question. All of that. I'm an one easy way to look at it is through the APR and consensus model. This was developed a few years ago, basically to emphasize that within these programs and within your practice the focus of care is based on patient needs not on the clinical setting so when you're evaluating the program that you're interested in.
You should be thinking about not exactly where you want to work. But the type of population that you want to work with adults. Pediatrics specifically in Women's Health or the Aurora mental health capacity do you want primary care or do you want acute care and then think about the population that you want to work with?
So it's really based on exactly what type of patients. You want to work with if you're interested in specializing in areas such as palliative care or oncologix or autism that would come that would either be woven within a curriculum through a minor or another certification or as a working professional you would be certified in that area.
Speaking of minors, we do have a variety of miners that you can complete during your time as an MSN student some fit a little more nicely within the curriculum than others. Some would wind up being extra classes. Just on the way the curriculum is designed. These are the miners that we have and you can learn a little bit more on our website and see exactly what classes are involved. Most are only 2:00 to 3:00 classes. So it's not a huge amount of classes In addition to the regular curriculum.
Some offer preparation for this for a certification exam so for example, the adult oncology minor would prepare you to sit for the national exam in that area, an others are really just to increase your knowledge in that area, so for example, the global health. Minor doesn't lead to any sort of certification. It's more for your personal knowledge. But these are a great way to learn more about areas that interest you.
And help influence your professional interests in goals and can certainly make a difference.
In your professional career.
We also offer a feud dual degrees, which means In addition to the MSN program. You can get a master of Bioethics Master of Public Health Master in law or an MBA through pen through one of the pen schools. There is a separate application process. An you do have to be admitted to both programs. What a lot of students will do is first Test out the MSN program so get in and get a little more comfortable with the classes in the.
Schedule and then apply to the dual degree program.
Oliver MSN programs can be completed full time or part time.
With part time you can start in the spring semester, which is in January that starts around MLK day or after MLK day summer, which is late May, so after Memorial Day, or fall which is late August or early September, either right before or right after Labor Day. However, kind of the holiday falls.
For full time there are specific start dates depending on which program you are applying to so do keep that in mind. If you are applying full time to one of the programs that you would be starting in either summer or fall.
Our acute care programs do require work experience in the related area, so please keep that in mind. If you are interested in an acute care program that you'll need to have a certain level. Excuse me a certain amount of years of work experience and for some in a certain area before you apply and all work experience should be calculated after orientation or any probationary period.
For a primary care programs work experience is not required. However, it is recommended. We feel that applicants generally are stronger with some work experience under their belt.
And here are the MSN application requirements. I will talk about all of these areas alittle more.
And here are the requirements for the postgraduate. AP RN certificate application just to note again on this program.
If you are admitted we will conduct a gap analysis, which means that at first will generate a draft plan of study, but then you do need to submit an additional fee and syllabi from your previous graduate program.
So we can conduct a formal analysis to determine what classes can transfer over and what your actual plan of study will be.
Our next program is the DNP in nurse anesthesia this program is full time only an it's a 3 years or 36 months. It's post BSN entry, which means you do not need a Masters degree in order to apply to this, you just need a BSN or a general entry nursing degree.
We're currently emitting about a year and a half in advance, which means this years applicants fall 2019 are applying for summer. Twenty twenty one that is the earliest time we can accept students so that means if you don't apply until next year. You'll be enrolling in summer 2022, so please keep that in mind when you are looking into this program.
There is a work experience requirement, we do require 2 years of work experience in an ICU or critical care. Working with the most critically ill patients and again that should be conducted after any orientation or probationary periods and there are certain areas that do not count so the emergency room recovery room step down units and Interventional radiology are not.
Would not meet the work experience requirement?
The curriculum is fully integrated between your didactic classes. Clinicals an using the simulation lab here on campus. So the anesthesia component has your didactic studies so advanced pharmacology and pathophysiology specifically relating to anesthesia pain management health assessment theories behind nurse anesthesia as well as your clinical training.
And then this is a doctor at level program. It is a DNP so you will be taking a few courses where you complete a project where you're analyzing an area of interest and writing a scholarly paper on that doing a presentation really kind of like a thesis an looking in areas different areas of health so it could be a?
Prior employer an area of interest of you to you and it doesn't have to be related specifically to anesthesia.
With the anesthesia program there is a primary site model, which allows for students to be mentored Anhava Homebase. When you're not rotating so this is great, you always come back to your primary site model every year and you are able to implement the different things that you've learned in different clinicals that you've been in. It really again allows you to have a home base and have resources to check in on you always have a familiar face there.
We also have a primary sites, including for pediatric sites or you'll rotate specialty rotations as well. Clinicals many of them are in the Philadelphia area. We also have some clinical sites in New Jersey and we even have a clinical site for anesthesia students at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore as well.
And these are the application requirements. They are the same as the MSN application requirements and again, I will.
Get more into this later in the presentation.
So what is the pen advantage I've talked to you about all of our wonderful programs? Why should you come here. The first clinical placements, so one huge advantages that we guarantee you a clinical spot. Appan admission, so instead of you having to worry about where to complete your clinicals we find these clinical placements for you.
We do have clinical sites in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware for MSN programs. An I mentioned Baltimore for the nursing estesia program so you may wind up needing RN license in all three of the four of the states you don't need this at time of application. But by the time you enrolling should at least have a current Pennsylvania license. Our clinical placements are diverse. We try and we've social determinants of health throughout the curriculum, but especially.
And there are a lot of community collaborations between Penn Nursing and the Philadelphia area. There are also a lot of collaborations between program so will try and merge certain programs together to focus on clinicals or trying merge acute care program and primary care program to implement different initiatives or programs within 1 clinical which is great exposure to different students.
Different areas of Philadelphia in the area and also exposing you to different types of patients. There are national and international opportunities. A lot of programs have the ability to complete a clinical usually over the summer in another state so for example, the pediatric acute care program, students have completed clinicals in California in Oregon and Utah.
Over the summer there's also international opportunities, sometimes students are able to complete clinicals abroad during a certain year or clinical rotation on which again only exposes you more to different.
Patience and areas of thinking and culture, so it's a really wonderful opportunity for our students.
There is also the opportunity to do research as a student you can get involved with the research program here on campus or one of the hospitals. We really encourage research and leading into publication as well. There's a strong focus in all of our programs. Many students have the opportunity to develop menu scripts or publication attend events and conferences and even present on what they've learned in these conferences.
I'm in our programs also encourage students to be involved in policy, and legislation, so really advocating for nurses and nurses rights advocating for advanced practice authority for our nurses every year. Our students go to the state capital to advocate there's a lobbying day, so you're not just coming to class. You're not just coming to clinical will really trying to build a well rounded student here.
And last but certainly not least, we have our newest program, which is The Post Masters DNP. This is completed part time over the course of two years as the name implies, it is postmasters only and is not just a clinical postmasters. We'd also take Masters degrees in an education or administration or another nursing areas. The goal is to develop skills and translating.
Research and practice to implement viable clinical innovations to change practice. An improved care delivery. So it is not a clinical program. It is geared towards innovation an research into practice.
And brand new IT is an on line curriculum so it is completely on line and there will be an on campus intensive which is typically in late August, where you come to campus around orientation and you get to meet the faculty and the program staff an really develop your cohort in person, which is a great opportunity.
And this is the curriculum and again. It is all online as you can see, there's a lot of focus in leadership and health innovation. We really want you to be able to take what you've learned in this program and apply it to leadership in your job or your future career, so that you can have an impact in your own area, or your own institution.
And again similar to the nurse anesthesia program. There are specific project courses, which are dedicated to helping you complete on your DNP project.
And since it is on line, you can complete the project at your own place of employment again to further give that impact on your own institution. An also make it easier for you, if you are not located in the Philadelphia area.
And these are the application requirements for the Post Masters DNP.
Now all give a few tips about the application process. So our applications are now available for program so you can go online and start an application strongly recommended that you start your application early. You could start. It now, but not submit until before right before the deadline you are able to save your work.
This allows you the most time to work on your application and submit a competitive application. It's also easier to fix errors. If you're working you started a few days before the deadline and you try and submit right out the deadline and there are a lot of things that you still need to submit it's a little harder to complete. But if you start working on it now and just go buy it day by day or week by week, you won't you won't run into any issues.
When you're ready to submit.
We get a lot of questions about what I should include on your resume. This is not an exhaustive list. But you can include all professional experience any volunteer experience or extracurricular activities that you participate in either relating to nursing or not relating to nursing honors or wars that you have received any leadership experience that you've completed professional academic or other research that you've.
Participated in if you've been a clinical instructor or preceptor or Adjunct Instructor Instructor. Any significant hobbies. You know, we really like to know who are applicants are you're not just.
A page on a screen that we're reading your human being and we've really enjoyed getting to know about you. We don't have a preference or format or for format or length requirement, but most applicants submit 1:00 to 2:00 page resume.
In terms of essays, just the basics so this might seem silly, but easy to read double spaced 12 point font. We stare at hundreds of applications everyday on our screen so making it a little easier to read is helpful to us proof read 1:00 or 2:00.
Spelling or grammatical errors won't drastically affect your application, but over in essay can go a long way in the application process. Remove any track changes so maybe you have a friend look over your essay an add some track changes in there, but once they are done make sure to remove them because they will upload into the application system and you can't change your essay once you've submitted it, and then just make sure to preview your essay once.
Uploaded you do have the ability to do this in the application system. So just to make sure that it looks good. It's easy to read because whatever.
You upload is what we see.
And just some basics in terms of contents. Really what we're getting did what we want to know is why this program? Why pen there are many different programs and ways to obtain an advanced practice degree or a DNP degree? What is it about this program? What is it about your previous work experience your life experiences your academic experiences? What have they all brought to make you interested in this program. We want to know your passions your goals?
In your reasons for wanting to become an advanced practice nurse or nurse collar.
Specifically, for the Post Masters DNP. We want to hear about your DNP project. We don't need the exact specifics. We don't need to know the exact place or plan that you have involved but we do want a general idea of what your project will encompass and do your research make sure the program. You're applying to is relevant to your personal and professional interests and goals make sure to explain that to us.
And make sure that you're really conveying that Penn Nursing is the best program for you.
3 letters of recommendation for the MSN.
Post Masters DNP, an nursing the seizure DNP, but you can submit up to 5 recommendations. We do like to see one of each so an academic reference. If you've been out of school for a significant amount of time. It is OK, not to have an academic reference. But for everyone else who's only been out of school for a few years. We strongly recommend this. This can be a professor or advisor research assistant and older references or certainly acceptable if you.
Have a really strong faculty reference from 8 years ago. That's fine. We would certainly be happy to read that and don't be afraid to reach out of faculty.
If you haven't talked to them in a while. If you did, well in their class. If you made a good impression chances are they still remember Yuan can write a great recommendation.
For your employer were looking for your current supervisor and the additional professional recommendation can be a former supervisor a nurse. Manager someone who knows you in a professional capacity and if possible, we would love to see someone who knows you in a different way than your current supervisor, so we can see a different kind of recommendation and different information.
So overall with the recommendations were really looking for quality. Not name recognition or just because there are Penn Alumni. We really want to solid recommendation, someone who can tell us all the wonderful things about you. It should build on other aspects of your application so if you talk about a significant research project. We'd love to hear more about that. If you talk about a leadership initiative that you did or a?
Quality improvement project that you implemented we would love for your recommender to talk about that.
It shouldn't just be a recap of your resume. We know what your resume is because we just read that.
Your recommendations can also emphasize strengths and weaker parts of your application so if you're concerned about your academics, but you have a great experience with a faculty member that can really help out and we only accept academic or professional recommendation, so please do not submit a personal recommendation.
For the GREDGRE is required, but it will be waived if your BSN program. If you have a 3.2 or higher, GPA or if you have a Masters degree.
With a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Most People fall into the 3.2 GPA waiver and that is a 3.2 GPA that's not a 3.19999. You need to have a 3.2 or higher.
The waiver will be applied after your application is processed by her office. There is nothing you need to do so. When you submit you will probably see a red X for the GRE scores that is fine. We go in an we confirm that your application that you do not need the GRE for your application.
If you do need to take the jirari competitive applicants typically score in the 50th percentile on both the verbal and quantitative sections and A4 on the analytical writing section.
And the GRE is not required for the post Masters DNP or postgraduate. AP RN certificate programs.
The Toefl are eilts is required if you are non native. English speaker or if your undergraduate degree was not conducted in English this applies to all programs.
We accept either the tofel or the Ielts. It does not matter, but you do need to submit one.
And here are the minimum requirements for the total and the Isles on the screen.
For transcripts, we require transcripts from your BSN program and all additional degrees or coursework completed for a grade and credit.
Unofficial transcripts are accepted and strongly encouraged during the application. You do have to upload a transcript in the application system so don't worry about getting an official transcript. You can submit the unofficial one.
We only need official transcripts if you are admitted and choose to enroll.
If you attended an international institution your transcript must be evaluated through Wes or CGF&S.
And just some other application items if you are current nurse will need your RN or a PRN license and you can upload whatever you're issued which is scanned on your physical copy a screenshot of the online certificate. Whatever your issue is fine again. You do need a Pennsylvania license before you start the clinical sequence an if anyone here is an international applicant. If you don't have a Pennsylvania license but your license to practice in another country.
You do need to complete the CGF and S certification exam more information is available on our website about that.
We do require a statistics class and that just needs to show up on your transcript. There's nothing. You need to do as long as it shows up on your transcript and then we do have an interview process and that is by invitation only so we will reach out to you if we will go forward with the interview process.
I'm going to briefly touch on tuition and financial aid. I'm going to keep it fairly general since it is different from every person in every program.
Your program costs will depend on how many course units. You take per semester. The average course offered at Penn is one course unit and that's equal to 4 semester hours.
If you want to be considered for federal aid and Penn Financial aid. You do need to submit a fasa.
There are also scholarships available through the School of Nursing. Some you can apply as an applicant and then we also have opportunities for current students as well, which you can apply to.
If anyone listening is a employee through the University. Pennsylvania health system or Penn Medison and addition to any tuition benefits you receive through UPHS. We do also have a scholarship program, which is a buy three get one free deal. So um if you complete 4 course units in a calendar year so that's January through December, the 4th course unit you take in that year.
Will be free and that is In addition to any tuition benefits, he received through your Penn Medison employer.
We also encourage you to apply for external scholarships. They may be available through organizations. You've been involved with employers government and many more. And we encourage you to explore these options since financial aid is limited within Penn Nursing.
These are the application deadlines, so for the MSN programs again, you can apply full time or part time. If you're interested in attending full-time the deadline is November, 1st if you're interested in attending part time. If you want to start in the spring. The deadline is also November, 1st if you want to start part time summer fall. The deadline is April 1st 2020. If you're applying to the DNP in Nursing Esthesia, the deadline is November 1st.
And again as a reminder or admitting for 2021.
If you're applying to the Post Masters DNP, the deadline is November, 1st and if you're applying to the postgraduate. AP RN certificate programs similar to the MSN programs. Spring star is November, 1st and somewhere false start is April 1st and these deadlines are pretty much the same every year so if you do plan on applying in a future year, you can expect these deadlines to be the same.
And I also just want to highlight some upcoming events. If anyone here is interested in the PhD program. We will have an on campus. Open house Friday. September 27th and we have as separate open house for the MSN. Indian P programs on Saturday, October 5th. These are wonderful opportunities to come to campus. You'll be able to meet faculty, staff and students really learn more about the specifics of each program more about admissions and financial aid and just.
Interact with members with the pen nursing community will also have information sessions around the country. Boston New York, San Francisco. La Chicago and will also have more webinars coming soon so please stay tuned for those as they are confirmed.
We will notify you and they'll always be posted to our website as well.

Does Penn allow transfer graduate credit in pathophysiology, pharmacology, research classes? Would GPA count from graduate courses too? Are there some classes online for the Women's NP/midwifery program or is it all in class? How are the classes (exams vs projects)?
Jenny Park
12:40:59 PM
is there an expiration date for the stat course?
OK, so now we're going to have a little bit of Q&A. So if you have questions. Please just type them into the chat box. I will try and get to all of them. But if I don't answer your question please. Feel free to contact us afterwards, so I'm going to stop talking for a few seconds and allow everyone to submit their questions.

Erik Gunnison
12:42:53 PM
After submission of the application, when do you typically start to notify us about an interview? Do they occur after the application deadline or is it a rolling basis for the DNP-NA?
Mariella Benavides
12:43:04 PM
Regarding the streamlined Post MSN acute care certificate programs, what is the average amount of clinical hours needed for the program?
Someone is asking their current undergraduate an what are the recommendation letter requirements we would expect more academic references so maybe 2 academic references an one professional recommendation we understand that current students are not working full time as a nurse. But through you could get a clinical supervisor or preceptor or if you worked any sort of job during the summer or during the academic year.
We could take that kind of recommendation as well.
Are you able to take a course before officially applying enrolling in a program? Yes, but you still need excuse? Me you would still need to apply as a non degree student so.
And our application, you would select the non degree option and you could take a course beforehand.
Kyle Holmquist

If your G excuse me if your GPA is a 3.2 or higher. am I still required to submit a giri score. No, you are not required to submit the Jirari If your BSN GPA is a 3.2 or higher.
Is there a certain grade that is required for the prerequisite statistics class? We are looking for a B or better?
What is the deadline for applying to dual degrees after starting the MSN program that is specific to the individual degree so you would need to look at their individual application process.

If the statistics score is not a B or better, would you recommend retaking the course prior to application?
Can you speak more about the streamline post Masters program? Yes. So we do have a streamline post Masters program in the adult acute NP so if you need to become certified as an adult. Gerontology, a cute nurse practitioner program. We do have a streamline programmed which is 3 online courses that you take we are not licensed in every state so I recommend looking at our website to make sure that you can.
Do the program in the state that you live in.
And then you can always contact us for clarity because sometimes People are licensed in adjoining States and can do. The program that way. But the first step would be to look at our website and make sure that you can practice in your state, you also need to have worked in acute care setting as an advanced practice nurse for at least 1 year.

Are applications accepted for the post masters DNP for students currently enrolled in an NP program that will graduate prior to the start of the PM-DNP program?

Do you accept students who already have MSN Entry into Nursing?

Is there an option to explore a public health minor/certification with the nurse-midwifery program or only the dual degree program?
With a dual degree in health law. What test you sit for after completion so the master in law is not a JD it doesn't allow you to practice law. There is no specific test. You sit in sit for afterwards. You would just for the MSN component. You would sit for the certification exam for the MSN program you're doing.
After submission of the application. When do you typically start notifying us about an interview? Do they occur after the application deadline or is it a rolling basis and I'll answer this for all questions. It is pretty much a rolling basis. I can say right now, we're not contacting People yet for interviews. It will probably happen more towards the fall and closer to or after the application deadline, so if you have submitted now don't worry.
You haven't been forgotten interviews will start closer to the fall.

Just completing my MSN in Nurse Anesthesia in Jamaica. (Worked in the USA for most of my professional nursing career). I would like to understake the DNP in Nurse anesthesia it is not offered here in Jamaica. I know i would have to start over and do the BSN Track. would you guys consider evaluating transcripts and exempting some courses? also is there anyway the GRE could be exempted in this regard?
Someone's asking how often are classes offered a week for someone attending part time classes are typically offered once a week. So it is a balance between working full time and attending classes. Students typically attend excuse me take one or 2 classes a semester if they are attending part time.

I am interested for the program you offer: Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
If you're an international student, but your BSN was conducted in English again. You do not need to submit the Toefl or Ielts.

I am planning to apply to the acute care pediatric NP program. Do I have to decide part-time or full-time prior to application? Or can that be decided after admission to the program?
Our applications accepted for the post. Masters DNP for students currently enrolled in an NP program. Yes, we would accept students who are currently enrolled in NP program who will graduate prior to the start of the Post Masters DNP.
Do you accept students who have an MSN entry into nursing? Yes, we do so we understand some accelerated programs are now at the MSN level and, yes, we do accept that.

For each MSN program is there a set number of acceptances or does it depend on the applicant pool (how many applicants/competitiveness/etc.)?
Aanu Ogunbanjo
12:48:31 PM
For applicants without a BSN who did RN-MSN and have a BS in another science field is this a disadvantage?
Is there an option to explore public health minor with the nurse midwifery program or only the dual degree option right now. We only have the miners listed. We don't have a public health minor. You could potentially explore the global health minor that might be of interest to you. You can also take some classes. You can also cross register in some classes in the MPH program without having to do.
So if you're applying to one of our MSN programs. You do have to decide whether you are applying part time or full time during the application.
It could change it, you know, we understand life happens. Things change and that would have to be evaluated by the faculty to see if there was room in the specific clinical cohort.
For each MSN program is there a set number of acceptance acceptance is or does it depend on the application pool a little bit of both so again we have we guarantee clinical spots so we can only admit if we have a clinical spot for you. That changes every year and of course. We're going to look at your competitive excuse me competitiveness of your application as well.

If I am taking statistics now can I still apply for Fall of 2020 as long as the course is completed by the program start date, but not the time of application?
For applicants without a BSN who did an RN MSN and have a BS in another science field is this a disadvantage absolutely not. We have applicants from many different backgrounds. We have applicants who did their BSN right out of high school. We have applicants who went back to nursing school after 20 years. Some who did an Associates Degree 1st and then got a BSN or direct entry MSN that is absolutely not.

Will my GRE score still be considered if I have a GPA above 3.2?
If I'm taking a statistics class now. Can I still apply for fall 2020 as long as the course completed by the program start date but not at time of application. Yes, you can.
Ramonita O'Maille
12:51:02 PM
What if statistic grade is not B or better?? Is that a big dis-qualifier??
Submit now or by the deadline and send in your transcript with your final grade on when you receive it. Our classes at night. Or during the day I know you're asking for the FNP program. But this is for all programs. They do very there are a lot of classes during the day, some do start at 4:00 or 5:00 but you can be.

What is the weekly course load and class/clinical requirement for part-time vs. full-time? I live out of state and would like to know how many days per week I would need to be on campus for each program option
Expected to be in classes at at all times.
Brenda Palacios
12:51:22 PM
avg gpa of applicants?
Well my giri scores still be considered if I have a GPA above 3.2 sure you can submit am you definitely don't have to and if you don't need to take the Jerry for us. You you don't have to sit for the GRE.
What if my statistics grade is not a beer better is that a big disqualify are no we have a holistic review process. We will review all applicants. You are able to retake the class. It is beneficial for you, it will help you prepare but it's not a dis qualifier.
What's the weekly course load an class and clinical requirements for part time versus full time so again. It really depends on how many classes at your taking so one class could be anywhere. Typically, 3:00 to 4:00 hours a week. So you could be on campus anywhere from 3 hours if you're only taking one class to maybe 10 or 12 hours. If you're taking 3 or more classes again, you can look on our website for a sample curriculum for.
Each program and get a better idea of when you would be excuse me of how many hours he would be on campus.

Do you recommend the Open House if we want more information on a specific track. So if I want to know more about CNM, will that be well represented at an Open house?
The schedules also available for the next Apple excuse me. The next semester coming up so you can see what time the classes are taking place for the next upcoming semester?
Do you recommend the open house if he wants more information on a specific track? Yes, absolutely you have the opportunity to attend 2 different information sessions on a program so if you're deciding between 2:00 or you want to know the difference between some.

If my recommendations are of professional nature and can speak to my clinical skills, is it ok if the recommenders are not my employer? (the health system I work for now does not allow management to write letters of recommendation - HR writes the letters and thus will be more generic).
You'll have the opportunity to review to go on and sees me to go to an information session led by the faculty and staff will be there.

Do I need to have work experiences by the time I apply to Mental Health Nurse Practitioner?
Ramonita O'Maille
12:53:51 PM
Thank you, back to work now!
Is my recommendations are of professional nature an can speak to my clinical skills? Is it OK if the recommenders are not my employer 'cause. Oh, I see the health system. I work for does not allow management to write letters of recommendation. Yes, that's fine. We don't want you to go through the trouble of breaking any rules in your job. So yes, that would be fine. You may want to just send us a note about this, or included as an addendum in your essay?
Um just so, so we know not to expect a recommendation from your current employer.

What is the average GPA of the accepted student for MSN program? Thanks!
Do you need work experience by the time you apply to the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner know that's part of our primary care program so you do not need work experience. However, we do encourage work experience applicants tend to be on the stronger side with some if you don't have work experience in that area. I would make sure to emphasize what other areas of your life.

Does Penn still offer the forensics minor for the MSN programs? Also, my BSN program is on a 7-point grading scale (>93=A, 85-92.4=B, ect), should I include a note of that somewhere in my application or see if my school can recalculate it on the normal 10 point scale before submitting transcripts?
Nahid Niestzche
12:55:00 PM

Kind of help you got to the specific interest that you have for the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program or that goes for any of the other programs as well.

Are the Post-MSN DNP online classes Live? If so, what time will they be?
Does pencil offered the forensic Sciences minorum? No, we do not have that minor anymore?
If you're so there's questions about your BSN program on a different point grading scale in a 7 point grading scale your transcript should have some sort of scale that shows.
What each grade is so make sure to include that or make sure that is included when you upload your transcript?
Alea Henry
12:55:51 PM

Are the postmasters DMP on line classes live know they're asynchronous? Which means that you can watch them at anytime. However, there might be projects or discussions or other requirements that are required to be submitted by a specific time, but the actual classes are asynchronous.
